‘Echo’ becomes contender at Charlotte Film Festival

‘Echo’ is to vie at the Charlotte Film Festival in the US.

‘Echo’, a short film made by Iranian filmmaker Barzan Rostami, has become a contender at the 2020 Charlotte Film Festival in the US.

Rostami’s film, with the theme of wildlife and environmental abuse by human beings, will vie for award at the 12th edition of the Charlotte film event, to be held on September 23-27.

September 2020 is a busy month for ‘Echo’ as it will be also in the running at two more global film events, including the 15th Sunnyside Shorts Int’l Film Festival (SSIFF) in the US (Sep. 26) and the 7th International Festival of Cinema Povero in Italy (Sep. 20-22).

The long list of the international screenings of ‘Echo’ goes on with the 4th Rosarito Film Festival in the US, the 6th Corto e a Capto- Premio Mario Puzo Film Festival in Italy, the 18th Hiroshima Int’l Animation Festival in Japan, the 7th Star Film Fest in Croatia as well as the 6th Global Impact Film Festival (GIDC) in the US.

Late in May 2020, ‘Echo’ went on screen at the 4th Southern Cone International Film Festival (FICCSUR) in Mexico, and succeeded to grab the Best Animation Short Film award of the event.

Created in 2006, the Charlotte Film Festival hosts emerging filmmakers from around the world to showcase their works for industry professionals and audience members alike.
